Do you work, or have worked, at an Amazon fulfillment centre?
The Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology at the University of Toronto Mississauga is looking for participants in a study of work in e-commerce companies.
The aim of this research is to understand the transformations of work in the logistics sector and the relation between workers and technology. To do so, we are interviewing workers and ex-workers at e-commerce warehouses. Because of your experience working in the sector, you can provide great insight into some of the challenges and opportunities facing workers.
If you are willing, your participation will involve meeting us for an interview that will last approximately one hour, where we will ask you questions about your working conditions, the technologies you use in the workplace, and the challenges you face. Participation in this project will be confidential. Neither your name nor any details that could identify you will be shared with anyone.
Feel free to contact us about any questions or concerns you might have. We would be happy to outline in greater detail the project and the parameters of your participation.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
